Founder & Maker
I'm Craig, the founder and maker behind Campfire Candle Co. After years in the design industry, I traded pixels for pours to solve a specific challenge: creating a crackling wood wick candle without the toxins.
Each batch is hand-crafted in my Rutland studio and cured for a minimum of 28 days—ready for the restless ones who live for the mindful moments.

FAQ
What makes your wax blend different?
Most high-street candles rely on paraffin (a petroleum by-product) because it’s cheap and holds scent easily. We chose a different path.
Our candles are powered by a premium blend of eco-friendly Rapeseed and Coconut wax. It’s 100% plant-based, sustainably sourced, and paraffin-free. This creates a much cleaner, slower burn with a superior "scent throw" that fills your space without the toxins or the soot.
Why do you use wooden wicks instead of cotton?
Our candles are a sensory experience—both in sound and scent. Our custom wood wicks are engineered to provide a rhythmic crackle that mimics a real campfire.
Beyond the sound, wooden wicks provide a wider, more consistent heat pool, ensuring your candle burns evenly to the very edge of the tin every time... just be careful, like all candles the tin gets hot.
Why do you cure your candles for a full month?
Much like a fine whiskey or a dark roast coffee, fragrance needs time to develop. Most candles are added to the inventory the day after they are poured, but we believe in the "Stillness."
We cure every batch in our Rutland studio for a minimum of 28 days. This allows the fragrance oils to fully bond with the wax crystals at a molecular level, resulting in a "Peak Resonance" scent throw that is richer and more consistent from the first light to the last.
How do I look after my wood-wick candle?
To keep the "Resonance" perfect, always trim your wood wick to about 3-5mm before every light—you can simply pinch off the charred wood with your fingers once cool.
On your first burn, ensure the wax melts all the way to the edge of the tin (usually 2-3 hours). This prevents "tunneling" and ensures you get the full 35+ hours of burn time we’ve engineered into every batch.
